The Dead Sea is different from the salt that is found in the sea or ocean. It has a higher concentration than the sea. The sea has only 3% of concentration whereas the Dead Sea has 27% of concentration. In the sea, sodium represents about 80% of the salt content. However, the Dead Sea contains much lesser sodium than the sea. This is due to the fact that it contains other salts such as magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides.
